What are the lease terms at Mizner Marina?
We have a 3 month MINIMUM INITIAL LEASE TERM ON ALL LEASES, no exceptions whatsoever. The first 3 months are paid in full and up-front, with the first month prorated if applicable. All leases then become a month to month lease after the initial 3 month term is completed. You may cancel your lease at the completion of, or after your initial 3 month term has expired by providing us with a 30 day advance notice of your intent to cancel via email to MiznerMarinaFL@gmail.com.
What happens if I forget to provide my 30 day notice to vacate?
Per the lease agreement, you will be billed one final month of rent upon emailed receipt of your notice to vacate/cancel. No other form of notice is acceptable (eg. text, phone call, usps mail, pigeon carrier, facebook message, etc.). The only acceptable form of 30 day notice is clearly outlined in your lease agreement and it must be provided via emial to MiznerMarinaFL@gmail.com, no exceptions.
How do I pay my rent? And if I pay cash can I get a discount?
Every tenant automatically enrolls in auto-pay when signing a lease with us. We accept credit, or ACH. No other forms of payment are accepted at any of our properties. We don't offer any discounts whatsoever. Effective March 1, 2025, a 3.5% processing fee for any payments made via credit card will automatically apply. To avoid this fee, please pay via ACH.
If I rent a boat on trailer storage space, can I keep my boat overnight in a dock space or lift?
No. Boats who rent on trailer storage from us can only use the boat ramp and loading area while coming and going to and from our ramp.
If I rent a rack space, in water boat slip or boat lift, can I use the boat ramp too?
Our private boat ramp is exclusively for our tenants who are renting a boat on trailer parking space. Other forms of boat storage (rack, in water, lift) do not include access to our boat ramp.
If I rent a boat trailer only storage space, can I keep my boat on my trailer?
No. Boat trailer only storage spaces are very specifically for empty boat trailers only. If you need to keep your boat on the trailer, even if it is for a single day, you will need to enter into an entirely new lease agreement which includes your boat on a trailer, pending that we have available space for a boat on trailer at that time.
Where do I and my guests park our car(s)?
We have guest as well as tenant designated parking spaces. If your boat is stored on a trailer, we kindly ask that you park your trailer in your designated boat trailer parking space while you're out. We allow one guest vehicle per tenant, in addition to the tenant's vehicle being parked here. Vehicle parking can be found in front of our office. Overflow parking can be found outside of our gates.
If I store my boat on a rack with you, do you have a place where I can also store my empty boat trailer?
Yes., subject to availability, we offer boat trailer storage both on site at the marina, as well as off-site at our other locations.
How often will my monthly rent price change?
The benefits of leasing with us is that we are family owned and operated. Unlike some of our competitors who are public companies, we don't have investors or wall street to impress; hence, we don't have "monthly pricing adjustments". Our lease terms are month to month; however, our pricing is typically adjusted only 1x per calendar year and we provide you with plenty of advance notice of any changes in lease prices and/or terms. We do our best to keep our storage prices competitive with our local marketplace and trends.
Can I stay overnight or live in my boat/camper/RV here?
No. Under no circumstance whatsoever can you stay overnight or live at our facility. Doing so will result in police being called and immediate termination of your lease agreement in addition to full forfeiture of any pre-paid rent and/or deposits.
If I don't have my own vehicle to launch my boat, will you launch my boat at your private boat ramp?
No. All boat on trailer storage tenants are fully responsible to retrieve and launch their own vessel(s) with their own vehicle. We don't assist in launch or retrieval of any boats on trailers whatsoever.
What documentation do I need to rent a unit?
A valid government-issued ID, vessel/traier registration, and proof of insurance.
What security features do you offer?
We screen all prospective tenants backgrounds prior to entering into a lease agreement. We also have 24-hour video surveillance, perimeter fencing, and coded as well as app based access to our gated entry & exit.
How do I terminate my lease?
To terminate your lease agreement, simply email us your 30 day written notice as notated in your lease. You must email the location(s) directly from which you rent your space(s). For this location (Deerfield Beach) the email address is MiznerMarinaFL@gmail.com. Failure to provide us with proper 30 day written (email) notice will not void your commitment to comply with the lease. If cleared payment is not received upon receipt and processing of your 30 day notice to vacate, your account may be sent to collections or a judgement may be entered with the clerk of courts for the amount(s) owed to us.
Is your private & exclusive boat ramp access included with my rent?
Yes, boat on trailer leases include unlimited access to our private boat ramp.
What are the hours of operation for the private boat ramp?
While operating hours and days are subject to change, the current hours of operation for our private boat ramp are 7am-5pm daily. .
Is there a discount if I pre-pay my rent in advance for a year?
All leases are month to month (3 month minimum initial term), we don't discount rent for pre-payment(s) of rent; however, you may, at your discretion, pre-pay rent.
Is there a boat wash area at the marina?
Yes. We have many boat wash areas throughout the marina., they are clearly marked on our marina map with a blue water droplet emblem. Fresh city water for non-commercial use is included with your rent.
What services do you offer?
To name just a few of our most popular services, we offer a full service marina including boat docks, boat lift(s), boat on rack storage, boat on trailer storage, jet ski storage, ice, water, bait, marine mechanic, boat bottom painting, fuel (rec 90 and diesel), fiberglass & gelcoat repairs, vinyl/canvas and upholstery repairs, boat/yacht brokerage, hurricane haul-out plans, daily and longer term service racks and so much more!
I see that you offer "Off Site Boat Trailer Parking", what is that?
We have multiple locations throughout South Florida. In order to offer our clients the most convenient and affordable boat trailer parking, we have dedicated some sections of our properties exclusively to affordable off site boat trailer parking. This is a great way to store an empty boat trailer at a reasonable rate.
What kind of surface will my boat/trailer be stored on?
While most of our drive-thru areas are paved, our actual storage ground cover at Mizner Marina is generally comprised of "57 rock", which is a permeable, small rock intended to allow for quick drainage and minimal heat retention from the hot florida sun.
Do you offer electricity for boats stored on trailer or rack?
At this time, we don't offer dedicated electricity for boats stored on racks or trailers. You can always borrow our mobile power station if available, or consider a solar trickle charger for keeping your batteries at full charge when you're not around. (We've seen some great options on Amazon, Costco, etc.)
If I rent storage space at one of your other locations, can I use your private boat ramp at the marina?
No. The private boat ramp at Mizner Marina is exclusive to our tenants here at the marina only.
Do you offer a hurricane haul out plan?
Yes. Please see our "services" tab on our website, or simply call/text or email us for more info on our seasonal hurricane haul out agreement.
Is there any additional charge for me to use the on site boat ramp?
No. If you store your boat on a trailer with us, unlimited boat ramp usage, per your lease agreement, is included with your rent unless otherwise specifically stated in your lease.
Are there any fixed bridges leading to/from Mizner Marina?
